Respite, made personal

Support that fits your life.

Personalized respite care for people with developmental disabilities, built around what feels right for them and their family.

Three ways we can support

Care in a setting that feels right.

We listen to your family's needs, learn what your loved one enjoys and work together on a plan that makes sense.

In-home respite

For some people, home is where they feel most comfortable. Our support workers come to you and provide companionship, help with daily routines and personalized care in familiar surroundings.

Community-based respite

Social connection and new experiences can be part of care. We plan outings around individual interests, whether that means West Edmonton Mall, a scenic LRT ride or an evening at Ed's Rec Room.

Out-of-home respite

Our respite centre is designed to feel warm and home-like. Movie nights, arts and crafts, music, quiet conversation and room to relax make it a comfortable place to spend time.

Support can reflect the rhythms, preferences and everyday routines that help your loved one feel at ease.

Interests and connection

Activities and outings are planned with the person's interests and comfort in mind.

Respite gives family caregivers time to rest, attend to other needs and return with renewed energy.
